The crew from Carilion's Lifeguard 10 helicopter came to our station for an in-service training on landing zone safety and helicopter operations. We discussed setting up an appropriate LZ, communicating and working with the helicopter crew, and loading the patient safely onto the helicopter. This was a good educational experience and a good opportunity to see Lifeguard's new helicopter.
